Nail Trims

All pets need to have their nails trimmed regularly. However, the process can be detrimental to your dog or cat has their nails are trimmed too short. We can take care of this procedure for you so that you don’t have to worry about nicking the blood vessels inside the nails. Call us if you’d like to schedule an appointment.

Be careful if you perform this procedure at home. In fact, we only suggest that you attempt this at home if you have someone to help you hold your dog or cat, and if they are okay with their paws being touched. This is a sensitive area for most dogs and cats and requires training. It can be done easily with white nails (which allow you to see the blood vessels), however with black nails it can be extremely difficult to gauge the proper length.  We also suggest you keep a caustic agent, such as styptic powder, on hand in case a nail bleeds.

Providing walks on rougher surfaces (concrete or pavement) can help reduce the frequency of nail trimming.

If you purchase our food here, you are eligible for Complimentary Nail Trims! Please call ahead to book so we can set aside the time for you!
