Preventive Care (Annual) Exams

When you go see your general practitioner, they always say they would like to see you at least once a year, even if you think you are healthy. This allows them to discuss any concerns you may have, help set you up for the future, get to know your individual normals, and allow them to be proactive in keeping you up to date on the expansion of new medical information. They can help to discuss myths and fads, and keep you in check for the best, healthiest you. For these exact reasons, we do require a once a year visit with your pet to touch base and give them a thorough exam and discuss their lifestyle with you. This will not take up much of your time if you are in a rush, or we can book the appropriate amount of time to spend one on one if you have many concerns or questions. Each exam is catered to the client and pet to ensure a low stress, happy environment. By seeing you once a year, we can easily prescribe you prevention needed for fleas/ticks/parasites or any other medications that may be needed, and we are able to help you strengthen the human-animal bond. We are here to help your pet be the healthiest possible. Prevention is key! If you can prevent, then you won’t have to treat. Great new is, we are much better equipped than your doctor to book you and your pet in at your convenience! Lets work around your schedule to make this a stress-free visit!

We begin our assessments by discussing your concerns, and making your pet feel safe and relaxed. Your trusted Veterinarian will then begin a full physical exam: looking at your pet’s eyes, ears, and skin and checking his or her cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities. We will do this with your involvement, showing and telling you everything that they find. If further diagnostics are needed to check your pet’s kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine system, including the thyroid and adrenal glands, this will be discussed with you to make a plan that you are happy with.  Please ask us for a clinic tour if you would like to see the whole clinic! Our goal is to have everyone comfortable so we can reach the end goal together. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call us or make an appointment online
